The fifth electronics research institute is the organization directly under the Ministry of Information Industry. Authorized by the Ministry, it undertakes some industry managing functions including the reliability management, technical exchange, dissemination and training, and professional standards management of electronic industry. It provides technical support for the Ministry in the developments of quality management provisions, codes and policies.
